10.4 inch LCD touch monitor, one-touch 6-way electrode movement Free adjustment of treatment time and high-frequency output

[의학신문·일간보사=김원준 기자] A Korean manufacturer, which has confidently entered the saturated market of expensive high-frequency hyperthermia for cancer treatment, is garnering great attention. All eyes are on this company as it has great potential for growth with its leading design that is aimed to significantly increase convenience in patient treatment.

Dong Seo Medicare (CEO Kim Sang-han), which is widely known as an importer of globally renowned products including Supersonic Imagine and Bard, has successfully manufactured“Celief,”a high frequency hyperthermia for cancer treatment with 100% domestically-grown technologies.

Participating in the 35th Korea International Medical and Hospital Equipment Show 2019 (KIMES) held from March 14th to 17th at COEX will shed light on its “Celief” at Booth C552.

A compound word of “Cell” and “Relief", “Celief” implies the safe recovery of the cells. With a naming that has thought not only about the cancer treatment itself but also the psychological state of patients, it can provide a sense of mental stability and relief.

Using the electrical properties of cancer cells, the high-frequency produced from the hyperthermia’s generator heats the cancer cells to over 42~43°C, and kills the cancer cells. The device is known to have maximized effect when used in parallel with surgical operations, radiation therapy and chemotherapy, which are all known as standard treatments against cancer.

The product is expected to create a sensation within the market as it has various benefits not only limited to multi-faceted performance but by also granting enhanced convenience for medical personnel.

First, equipped with a 10.4 inch LCD touch monitort hat is synchronized with the control PC, where patient information is stored, the device does not require unnecessary moving from operating room to treatment.

Moreover, adjustment of treatment time and highfrequency output using the touch panel monitor also grants enhanced convenience to the users. Its auto-matic impedance matching, which maximizes treatment effects by utilizing the electrode auto-focusing function is also expected to garner much attention.

All of its systems including generator and cooling module are stored all-in-one within the main body, while the head arm that controls the movement of electrode can freely move in six different directions easily using the one-touch electromotion.

“Celief” is also equipped with a patient-friendly bed with a thermostat. The manufacturer refrained from using the widely used black bed which can act as a source of threat to cancer patients, and used water bed with warm water so that patients can relax during their treatment, thereby increasing the overall treatment effects.

It is also the first medical high-functional hyperthermia in Korea that has four emergency stop functions and the first to get IEC 60601-1, 3.1 product safety certificate. This means that the safety of the device has been proven.

IEC 60601-1, 3.1 certificate has intensified criteria in areas of safety and essential features compared to the 2 certificate, and includes broader certificate coverage including electromagnetic waves, radiation protection, suitability, alarm system, environment design and ergonomic control unit.

CEO Kim Sang-han says “Celief CPB-1100, a high-frequency hyperthermia developed with the aim of making entry into the global market has been praised for its outstanding quality and design,” describing the product as one that“is tailored to patients and users in three areas of design, performance and price.”

Explaining that he “feels great pride in the fact that the device was developed with 100% Dong Seo Medicare’s technology,” Kim stressed that “this enables reasonable prise as well as swift A/S within 24 hours.”
