Equipped with weight measuring wheel Bluetooth technology…enaling patient real-time check system via “Smart Caster”
[의학신문·일간보사=이재원 기자] Samsong Caster will showcase its core technology at the Korea International Medical and Hospital Equipment Show 2019(KIMES 2019) held in Seoul COEX from March 14th to 17th, seeking another change in the domestic medical industrial development.
The “Digital Scale Caster” to be introduced this time is a caster that has been conventionally used for only expensive devices. Available in affordable price, it has overcome the limitations in distribution rate, and can be easily installed in hospital beds.
The Load Cell is connected to the caster itself, which can be installed on the medical bed. equipped with Bluetooth which can connect patient weight information to hospital CRM, and will later enable the information to be shared via smartphone application as well.
Weight measurement and management system combined with conventional bed
In short, the “Digital Scale Caster” is a weight measuring system that can be approached easily by the elderly, patients who need weight manatement (ICU, artificial kidney center) and the general public. It is a“smart”caster that can be used by changing the wheels on the conventional bed.
Applied with ICT technology, it automatically measures the patient’s weight and family members or clinicians can check the measurements via monitor or application in even in remote distance.
It is not only used simply as a caster, but is a multifunction caster that is capable of saving the patient’s weight conditions and automatically calculating the weight changes during medical treatment through the indicator that manages the cell attached to the caster.
Meanwhile, under the motto of “contributing to the convenience of the mankind through circles that move the world,” it plans to contribute to the development of the medical device industry by joining hands with Naver LABS to develop electric medical cart with the “aircart” mass production as the stepping stone, especially in line with the 4th industrial revolution.
